Mr. Martin is responsible for all commercial and operational activities of the Kinder Morgan Natural Gas Pipelines Group, which encompasses approximately 62,000 miles of pipeline, 22 billion cubic feet (Bcf) per day of transportation capacity and about 685 Bcf of working gas storage capacity. Tom formerly presided over the Texas Intrastate Pipelines Group, which is currently comprised of approximately 6,000 miles of pipeline with a peak day sales and transport capacity of about 5 Bcf per day and approximately 120 Bcf of natural gas storage capacity. He joined Kinder Morgan as Vice President of Optimization and Storage in the Texas Intrastate Pipelines Group in 2003 and was named president of the group in 2005. Mr. Martin has over 20 years of commercial experience in the Texas and East Coast markets. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Texas A&M University and is a registered Certified Public Accountant.
Kinder Morgan owns an interest in or operates approximately 80,000 miles of pipelines and 180 terminals. The company's pipelines transport primarily natural gas, refined petroleum products, CO2 and crude oil and its terminals store, transfer and handle such products as gasoline, ethanol, coal, petroleum coke and steel.
Combined, Kinder Morgan has an enterprise value of approximately $115 billion.
