Welcome to the Colorado Lateral Project web site.
Kinder Morgan Interstate Gas Transmission LLC (KMIGT) is planning to expand its existing natural gas system which currently transports natural gas from production areas in the Rocky Mountain region. The Colorado Lateral Project will facilitate transportation of much needed, clean burning natural gas from points located at the existing KMIGT Rockport station in northern Weld County, Colo., to supply the Greeley area. The project will provide Colorado with greater flexibility in responding to increasing fuel demands.
Pipelines are vital to our energy transportation infrastructure and support Colorado's businesses, industries and commerce. Pipelines transport two-thirds of the United States' demand for crude oil, natural gas, gasoline, jet fuel, chemicals and other petroleum products; and no other transportation modes fill this role as safely, economically or as efficiently.
KMIGT invites you to learn more about its proposed pipeline project in Colorado. If you have questions about this project, please contact us - we will do our best to answer your questions.
