Gulf Coast Storage Expansion Project

On January 17, 2025, Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America LLC (NGPL) submitted a Section 7(c) certificate application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in Docket No. CP25-52 seeking approval to construct its proposed Gulf Coast Storage Expansion Project. On December 4, 2025, NGPL received a FERC certificate order authorizing the construction of the project.

The approximately $96 million project (KM-share approximately $36 million) will add roughly 10 Bcf of incremental natural gas storage capacity to NGPL's high-growth Gulf Coast system. The project will create additional Nominated Firm Storage Service (NSS) capacity for shippers to inject, store, and withdraw gas. It will consist primarily of pipeline looping and the installation of additional compression. With receipt of all permits and approvals, NGPL expects the project facilities to be placed in service in the first half of 2027.
